Martine Thérouanne

Director and co-founder of the Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema (FICA), and a member of the NETPAC committee. She has served on juries at the Tashkent International Film Festival in 2022, the Busan International Film Festival in 2023 and the Pingyao International Film Festival in 2024, among many others. Over thirty-one years, she and her husband Jean-Marc Thérouanne built FICA into one of the world’s foremost festivals of Asian cinema, where Jafar Panahi, Hirokazu Kore-eda, Hou Hsiao-hsien and Jia Zhangke have all received lifetime achievement awards. Her commitment to Asian cinema has earned her the Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur, Korea’s Order of Cultural Merit for film and Mongolia’s medal for cinematic art.
