Zlatina Rousseva

A Belgian documentary director, and founder and artistic director of the Brussels Millenium Documentary Film Festival. She has worked with Médecins Sans Frontières over many years and made several documentaries with them; her work is grounded in a global outlook and a deep concern for people at the margins, insisting on memory and value in times of crisis. The Millenium festival grew out of the United Nations’ eight Millennium Development Goals, with the endorsement of then Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the support of the UN. Ken Loach, twice a Palme d’Or laureate, led its special masterclass in 2025.
